Founded in 1993 by breast cancer survivors, ABCF is a San Antonio-based nonprofit dedicated to ending breast cancer through patient assistance, education, advocacy and community outreach.

The Helpline is staffed by trained volunteers who have personal breast cancer experience and can provide information, emotional support and connections to community resources. Bilingual volunteers are available to return messages left in Spanish. For people who are uninsured or underinsured, ABCF provides patient navigation to help locate free or low-cost mammograms and diagnostic testing in South Texas. The organization can also connect patients with healthcare resources and programs that may help with breast cancer treatment.

ABCF's resource network includes information about breast cancer treatment, mammograms and diagnostic services, mastectomy supplies, local support groups and transportation assistance for people undergoing cancer treatment. The foundation also works nationally through education and advocacy.
