The Arc of San Antonio is a nonprofit organization serving children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and their families in San Antonio, Bexar County, and surrounding communities. The organization provides direct care, case management, service coordination, family support, resource navigation, adult programs, and community-based services designed to help people with disabilities reach their maximum potential.

Services & Programs

The Arc's Family & Community Support Services helps families understand, locate, access, and coordinate services. Support can include personalized care planning, referrals, advocacy, assistance during major life transitions, and coordination with schools, doctors, social services, and other providers. The program supports families regardless of income, diagnosis, or age.

The organization also provides Adult Life Enrichment, with programming focused on functional life skills, art, dance, music, fitness, nutrition, social development, community integration, relationships, employment and greater independence. Additional services include Community Living Assistance and Support Services (CLASS) for eligible individuals enrolled in the CLASS Medicaid Waiver Program. CLASS can coordinate services such as attendant care, specialized therapies, adaptive aids, minor home modifications and respite care according to an individual's plan of care.
