Arms of Hope provides support for children, single mothers and families experiencing financial hardship in San Antonio and across Texas. The Christian nonprofit helps families facing challenges such as poverty, homelessness, abuse, neglect and other circumstances that can threaten family stability. Through its San Antonio Family Outreach Program, families can connect with resources and services designed to help them overcome immediate hardships while working toward long-term stability and independence.

Family Outreach services include referrals to nonprofit and community organizations, Christian counseling, practical life-skills education, budgeting assistance, parenting skills, job-application assistance and financial assistance for people who qualify. Arms of Hope also operates the Together Program, a residential program that helps motivated single mothers and their children transition toward independent living. Participants receive a home and necessities, education or trade-school opportunities, case management, counseling, parenting and life-skills training and spiritual support. Admission is application-based.

Its Residential Child Care Program serves children ages 5–18 whose families need additional help because of circumstances such as homelessness, poverty, substance abuse, violence, serious illness, incarceration, abandonment or the death of a family member. Children receive shelter, food, clothing, medical care, supervision and educational support in a family-like residential environment. Arms of Hope also operates Right Start, which helps expectant single mothers prepare for motherhood by providing shelter, necessities and skills needed to care for their newborn babies.
