AVANCE-San Antonio – Early Childhood Education & Family Support

AVANCE-San Antonio helps parents and young children build stronger educational and economic futures through early childhood education, parenting support and workforce-development programs. Its programs are based on a two-generation approach, supporting children and their parents at the same time. AVANCE-San Antonio's mission is to walk alongside parents and children to break cycles of poverty through high-quality, innovative two-generation education.

The Parent-Child Education Program (PCEP) is a free, nine-month program for caregivers—including pregnant women, parents, extended family and foster families—and children ages 0–4. Families participate in parenting education, early childhood learning, toy-making activities, community engagement and home visits. AVANCE-San Antonio also operates Head Start and Early Head Start, providing comprehensive early learning and family-development services for children from birth through age 5. Programs are offered through center-based and home-based options designed to support school readiness, health and family well-being.

For parents working toward greater financial stability, Caminos al Futuro provides workforce-readiness training, financial education and navigation to community resources that can help parents pursue career goals and long-term economic stability.
