Be Well Texas provides affordable, evidence-based addiction treatment and recovery services for people throughout Texas who are experiencing substance use, substance use disorders, alcohol or drug problems, and co-occurring mental health concerns.

Based at UT Health San Antonio, Be Well Texas offers both in-person and virtual treatment, making care accessible to people across Texas through smartphones, computers and other mobile devices. Services include substance use assessments, counseling, medication management, psychiatric care, case management, peer recovery support and connections to additional recovery resources.

Low-cost and no-cost treatment options are available for people who qualify. Be Well Texas accepts insurance and private payment and has grant funding that may help cover treatment, medications, laboratory services, counseling, case management and peer support.

Individuals and families can also use the Be Well Texas Provider Network to find substance use treatment, telehealth services, peer recovery support, overdose prevention, naloxone resources and other recovery services throughout Texas.
