Bexar County Family Justice Center – Domestic Violence Help & Support

The Bexar County Family Justice Center provides coordinated services and support for individuals and families affected by domestic and family violence in San Antonio and Bexar County. The Family Justice Center brings multiple community and government resources together in one centralized location, helping survivors access assistance without having to navigate numerous agencies on their own.

Services may include victim advocacy, assistance with protective orders, civil legal services, counseling, criminal justice intervention, child care, safety planning and connections to community resources. Survivors may also receive help identifying resources for housing, financial assistance, food, clothing, medical care and other basic needs.


Individuals experiencing domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault or child abuse may also be able to receive assistance applying for a protective order at no charge. The Bexar County Family Justice Center works with community organizations, law enforcement, prosecutors, healthcare providers and social service agencies to help survivors increase their safety, understand their options and connect with resources that can help them move toward greater stability and independence.
