Bexar County Reentry Center – Reentry, Employment & Support Services

REENTRY CENTER

The Bexar County Reentry Center helps individuals returning to the community after incarceration, as well as people on probation or parole, overcome barriers and successfully rebuild their lives in San Antonio and Bexar County. The Reentry Center connects justice-involved individuals with employment, education, healthcare and basic-needs resources. Services include job readiness and resume writing, interview preparation, job search assistance, job training, GED placement testing and tutoring, government benefits enrollment and assistance recovering identification documents.


Individuals can also connect with mental health and substance use services, anger management classes, Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT), recovery support, food, clothing and hygiene assistance, utility assistance, spiritual guidance and other specialized programs. The Center works with individuals to improve employability, increase educational opportunities, develop job skills and address challenges that can make successful reentry more difficult. Individuals recently released from jail or prison, or currently on probation or parole, can contact the Bexar County Reentry Center to learn which programs and resources may be available for their situation.
