Blueprint Ministries is a San Antonio nonprofit that provides critical home repair assistance to qualifying low-income homeowners, with a special focus on older adults and people with disabilities living in substandard housing. Through staff, skilled tradespeople and volunteers, Blueprint Ministries works to make homes safer, healthier and drier so homeowners can remain safely and independently in the homes and neighborhoods they know.
Home repair projects may address problems such as damaged roofing, deteriorated exterior surfaces, unsafe flooring or subflooring, drywall, painting, accessibility concerns and other health and safety issues. The type of assistance available depends on the condition of the home, homeowner eligibility, available resources and whether the project falls within Blueprint Ministries’ repair capabilities.
Blueprint Ministries is a Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist organization and places special emphasis on helping older adults and people with disabilities remain safely in their homes. Aging-in-place improvements may help make homes safer, more accessible and easier to navigate. Homeowners must apply for assistance and meet current eligibility requirements. Because demand is high and resources are limited, submitting an application does not guarantee that a home will be selected for repairs.
Blueprint Ministries also operates mission camps and volunteer programs that bring middle school students, high school students, adults, churches and community volunteers together to serve San Antonio homeowners while developing leadership and service skills. Individuals needing home repair assistance should review the current eligibility requirements and submit a homeowner application directly through Blueprint Ministries.
