Fuerza Unida is a nonprofit serving workers, families, youth, and residents of San Antonio's South Side through education, advocacy, employment opportunities, food assistance, health education, youth leadership, and community programs. Founded in 1990 by workers affected by the closure of a Levi Strauss manufacturing plant, Fuerza Unida continues to support working families while promoting social, economic, and environmental well-being. Programs include Threads of Justice, monthly food distribution, youth and young adult programs, health education, a community garden, and environmental initiatives.
