Harpers Chapel Ministries is a faith-based community ministry serving individuals, families, children, and people experiencing homelessness on San Antonio’s West Side. The ministry combines practical assistance with encouragement, relationships, and faith-based support to help people facing poverty, food insecurity, homelessness, and other challenges. Their hub connects residents and unhoused individuals with groceries, food, clothing and shoes, hygiene supplies, showers for people experiencing homelessness, housing assistance, employment assistance, Narcan, pet food, and connections to other community services.

Harpers Chapel Ministries partners with community organizations and the City of San Antonio to help residents connect with additional resources when their needs extend beyond the assistance available at the ministry. Food assistance is an important part of the ministry. Harpers Chapel provides groceries to community residents and works with community partners to address food insecurity among families and individuals on San Antonio’s West Side.

Harpers Chapel also provides programs for children and teens. Youth can receive meals, tutoring, clothing, mentoring, educational support, life-skills development, and opportunities such as career-focused field trips. The goal is to provide young people with a safe and encouraging environment where they can learn, develop confidence, and work toward their educational and personal goals.

KIDS

They offer programs throughout the year for their children 4-18yrs old to receive a meal, tutoring,  clothes, and career­ encouraging field trips.

HOMELESS CARE

They distribute 200 meals a week to the homeless every Wednesday. They offer hygiene, clothes, housing assistance, Narcan, pet food, and more.

OUTREACH

On holidays and back-to­ school season, they provide Easter Baskets, Thanksgiving meals, Christmas toys, backpacks, supplies, and shoes.
