Hope Hospice is a nonprofit hospice organization providing compassionate end-of-life care, palliative support, and grief services for individuals and families throughout New Braunfels, Bulverde, Bexar County, and surrounding Central Texas communities. Hospice care focuses on comfort, dignity, and quality of life for people living with a life-limiting illness. Rather than focusing on curative treatment, the hospice team works to manage pain and other symptoms while providing emotional, social, and spiritual support for patients and their families.

They use an interdisciplinary care team that can include physicians, registered nurses, social workers, spiritual care counselors, certified nursing assistants, and trained volunteers. Each patient receives an individualized plan of care based on their medical needs, personal wishes, and family circumstances. Hospice-related medications, medical supplies, and equipment may be provided as part of a patient's hospice benefit. Registered nurses are also available by phone 24 hours a day, seven days a week to help families with urgent concerns or changes in a patient's condition.

Hope Hospice provides support for family caregivers throughout the end-of-life journey. Services can include education, counseling, respite care, social services, spiritual support, and guidance to help families understand what to expect as a loved one's condition changes. Grief support is available for adults, children, teens, and families who have experienced the death of someone they love. Services include individual grief counseling, support groups, children's grief programs, grief camps, community events, and educational resources. Community grief counseling is available even when the person who died was not a Hope Hospice patient.
