K9s For Warriors is a nonprofit organization that provides highly trained Service Dogs at no financial cost to qualifying military Veterans living with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), traumatic brain injury (TBI), and/or military sexual trauma (MST). They help Veterans regain confidence, independence, and quality of life by pairing them with trained Service Dogs. Veterans from all eras may qualify, and the program serves Veterans throughout the United States.

K9s For Warriors operates the Warrior Ranch in Helotes, Texas, just outside San Antonio. The Ranch is a primary training facility where Veterans spend three weeks learning how to work with and build a relationship with their new Service Dog. Service Dogs are trained to perform tasks that can help Veterans manage symptoms associated with invisible wounds of military service. These skills can help Veterans feel more comfortable in public, manage anxiety and hypervigilance, create personal space, and increase confidence and independence.
