We are a public-private partnership that enables older and disabled neighbors to remain healthier and independent in their own homes, where they want to be, avoiding far more costly healthcare alternatives, such as unnecessary trips to the emergency room, hospitalizations and nursing home placements. We prepare and deliver nutritious meals each weekday to older and disabled individuals living throughout Bexar County and South Central Texas. Every weekday Meals on Wheels prepares and delivers more than a meal to 4,000 neighbors.

Emergency Meals

We provide meal packages to seniors, older adults, and disabled homebound neighbors. These packages address the immediate relief of hunger & potential disruptions to regular meal delivery, such as weather. We supply meals to new clients who are in need of an immediate food source. Emergency meals are also delivered quarterly to all meal recipients in anticipation of inclement weather.
