MHP Salud – Community Health & Healthcare Assistance

MHP Salud is a nonprofit organization that uses Community Health Workers (CHWs), also known as Promotores de Salud, to help individuals and families access healthcare, health insurance, social services, education, and other resources that support healthier lives. MHP Salud's Community Health Workers understand the communities they serve and help people navigate complicated healthcare and social-service systems. Community services are provided free of charge.

MHP Salud can help individuals and families understand health coverage options and navigate applications for Medicaid, CHIP, and plans available through the federal Health Insurance Marketplace. Community Health Workers can also help connect people with other services that affect health and well-being, including food, housing, healthcare, and community resources. They work to strengthen the Community Health Worker workforce through training, professional development, consultation, and technical assistance for healthcare and public-health organizations.
