Our Casas Resident Council, Inc. is a San Antonio nonprofit that helps low- and moderate-income individuals and families achieve and maintain safe, affordable housing and homeownership. Our Casas is a HUD-certified Housing Counseling Agency and a Community Housing Development Organization (CHDO) that has provided affordable housing, homebuyer education and foreclosure prevention services to San Antonio families since 1990.

The organization provides owner-occupied home repair assistance to help eligible homeowners make needed improvements to their homes. Home repairs may address health and safety concerns, accessibility needs, code compliance and other conditions that could threaten a family's ability to remain safely in their home. Our Casas also helps individuals and families prepare for homeownership through housing counseling and homebuyer education. Services can help prospective homebuyers better understand budgeting, credit, the home-buying process and the responsibilities associated with owning a home.

For homeowners experiencing difficulty making their mortgage payments, Our Casas provides foreclosure prevention counseling designed to help families understand their options and work toward maintaining stable housing. Our Casas also develops affordable single-family homes that provide qualifying low- and moderate-income families with opportunities to become homeowners.
