SAMMinistries is a San Antonio interfaith nonprofit helping individuals and families who are experiencing homelessness or at risk of losing their housing. Through a continuum-of-care approach, SAMMinistries provides homelessness prevention, emergency shelter, street outreach, rapid rehousing, transitional housing, permanent supportive housing, veterans housing assistance, case management and other supportive services designed to help people achieve long-term housing stability and self-sufficiency.

They provide rental assistance, utility assistance and supportive to people who are in imminent danger of eviction, or are currently homeless.

Their Street Outreach team engages unsheltered individuals, helping meet their basic needs and connecting them to the homeless services.

This program reduces the amount of time a family experiences homelessness and rapidly re-houses families into permanent, affordable homes.

They provide housing support to veterans or surviving spouses through homeless prevention, rapid re-housing and wrap-around services.

Their low-barrier shelter serves the community's most vulnerable with long histories of homelessness and physical or mental health disabilities.

The center is home for 40 families. It provides housing, support and resources to families who show a commitment to gaining self-sufficiency. The individual needs of all family members are supported for a two year period, to help the family as a whole while they transition out of homelessness.

Permanent Supportive Housing CONTACT: 210-321-5683

They assist and empowers families to live as independently as possible. Their permanent housing program assists families with whom one member of the family has a disability. They manage 100 set-aside housing vouchers to help families find permanent housing in the private rental market.
