The Sanctuary of Hope’s program seeks not only to offer single young mothers and their children an opportunity to develop basic living skills necessary to obtain independence as a healthy and productive adult; but also, to provide a Christ-centered perspective to its residents on day to day living so that a lifelong relationship with Christ may be established. The Sanctuary of Hope consists of the Joe and Van Mabee Home, including an east wing and a west wing, and six individual homes set on 85 acres of land. The property also includes a commercial kitchen and K-12 education facility. The Sanctuary of Hope’s philosophy of care is based on a desire to provide services that meet a child’s and young adult’s spiritual needs by providing a strong biblical foundation. Additionally, Sanctuary of Hope provides single, pregnant teens with long-term housing, life-skills training, and the emotional, spiritual, and educational support needed to turn her life around.
