The South San Antonio Independent School District CARE Zone is a community resource center providing no-cost mental health and family-support services in South San Antonio. Services include individual, group and family counseling, substance-use counseling, psychiatry and community education. Through community partners, the CARE Zone also connects students, families and community members with food, clothing, baby supplies, school supplies, ESL classes and assistance applying for Medicaid and food benefits.
