I Am Courageous
I AM COURAGEOUS, a nonprofit based in San Antonio, Texas, is dedicated to creating & providing uplifting, engaging & encouraging entertainment for children in hospitals across the United States. IAC’s programs aim to instill hope & normalcy in young patients and their families, reminding them that they are STRONG & COURAGEOUS.
In 2010, Michelle & Justin Graves (IAC founders) wrote an encouraging song about being BRAVE, STRONG & COURAGEOUS! Shortly after releasing this song their daughter, Gabi had two young friends who were diagnosed with cancer. Through their fight these two families were encouraged by this song. It became their fight song through their journey.
They began to share it with their friends in treatment and word began to spread. By 2012, IAC had shared their song "Strong and Courageous" with hundreds of children facing health challenges and their mission was born… “To encourage children in the hospital with uplifting entertainment.”
Thirteen years later I Am Courageous now travels full time across the country singing in children’s hospitals to thousands of children, families and staff each year. They have also created content to be used for CCTV programming that is currently being used in 38 children’s hospitals and growing daily. This content consists of:
- 75 cover songs with lyric videos
- 23 IAC TV episodes, a family friendly variety show featuring stories of courage, adventure and fun for children of all ages, backgrounds and needs.
