Street Medicine San Antonio provides free, street-based healthcare to people experiencing unsheltered homelessness in San Antonio. Physician-led volunteer medical teams take healthcare directly to people living under bridges, in fields, encampments and other locations. Teams address immediate medical needs, provide wound care and basic treatment, help manage certain chronic conditions, provide medications when appropriate, and connect patients with clinics, hospitals and community resources when more extensive care is needed.
