The Texas Ramp Project provides free wheelchair ramps for low-income seniors and people with disabilities who need safer access to and from their homes. In San Antonio and Bexar County, volunteer teams build residential ramps for eligible individuals with documented medical and financial needs. A wheelchair ramp can make it possible for someone with limited mobility to safely leave home for medical appointments, church, family activities, shopping, and other essential needs. There is no cost to eligible recipients. However, individuals and family members cannot apply directly. A referral must be submitted by a qualified healthcare professional or community organization.
