
WestCare Texas helps San Antonio individuals and families overcome challenges involving housing instability, substance use, trauma and other barriers to well-being. Its local programs provide transitional and supportive housing for women and children, recovery-focused services for pregnant and parenting women, youth prevention initiatives and community programs designed to strengthen families and neighborhoods.
Transitional & Supportive Housing – Housing and case-management services for women and women with children.
Casa de Esperanza – Transitional housing for pregnant and/or parenting women diagnosed with or recovering from a substance use disorder.
Recovery Support – Casa de Esperanza provides recovery support, trauma-informed care and coordinated individualized service plan.
Mental Health & Substance-Use – WestCare Texas addresses substance-use disorders and mental health.
Youth Substance-Use Prevention – Local prevention work includes programs addressing risky behaviors and youth substance use.
Life Skills – Educational and life-skills programming designed to strengthen individuals and communities.
HIV Testing – Included among WestCare Texas's education and prevention services.
Justice-Involved Youth – WestCare Texas lists mentoring services for justice-involved youth.
Domestic Violence Support – Domestic-violence support is included among its Texas service areas.
